Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is a condition of chronic pain that usually develops after an injury, surgery, stroke, or heart attack and affects an arm or a leg. It is characterized by pain that is much greater than expected after an injury that causes it. It is a fairly rare condition.

The major causes of CRPS are:

• Injury
• Abnormal inflammation 
• Deformity of central nervous systems
• Trauma
