He completed his post-graduation in Respiratory Medicine at the Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences, Karimnagar. During his training, he gained expertise in managing a wide range of lung diseases, including Asthma, COPD, Pneumonia, Pleural Effusions, and Lung Cancer. He also received training in Basic Bronchoscopy and Medical Thoracoscopy.

Further advancing his expertise, Dr. Samrat pursued super specialization (DM) in Pulmonary Medicine at St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore, where he received comprehensive training in Critical Care Medicine, equipping him to manage ventilated critical patients for both respiratory and non-respiratory issues. He is well-versed in ICU Ultrasound and excels in performing Ultrasound Guided Procedures such as securing invasive lines, Thoracocentesis, and Lung Mass Biopsies. 

Dr. Samrat’s dedication to excellence led him to complete a Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology under the mentorship of Dr. Hari Kishan Gonuguntla. During this fellowship, he acquired advanced skills in pulmonary procedures, including Rigid Bronchoscopy, Balloon Dilatation, Convex EBUS, Radial EBUS, Cryobiopsy, and Rigid Thoracoscopy. He also completed an Interventional Pulmonology Observership at Serdang Hospital in Malaysia.

He has extensive experience managing patients on noninvasive ventilation (CPAP or BiPAP) as well as those requiring home noninvasive ventilation, especially individuals with chronic respiratory failure or neurological conditions. He is proficient in the treatment and management of various sleep disorders, including Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Central Sleep Apnea.

Dr. Samrat is committed to providing his patients with the best possible care. His pursuit of excellence continues as he is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Interventional Pulmonology at the University of Florence, Italy, under Prof. Lorenzo Corbetta.
