Yashoda Group of Hospitals, Hyderabad contributes 40 lakhs to Kerala Flood Relief Fund
Hyderabad, 25th August 2018: Ever since the floods have hit the state of Kerala, the entire nation has joined hands to rescue and provide relief to the flood victims. The swelling dams, raging floods and landslides have crippled normal life. The city is under high alert and dealing with a crisis situation. The Kerala floods has cost hundreds of lives and left over lakhs of people homeless.
In a small effort to help & support those affected by the natural calamity across the state, the management and the staff of Yashoda Group of Hospitals, Hyderabad donated a sum of 40 Lakh on the eve of Onam. The donation was made towards “KERALA FLOOD RELIEF FUND” through ‘Malayala Manorama Charitable Trust’, Kottayam, Kerala.
Mr. Abraham T George, Regional Deputy General, Marketing, Malayala Manorama Charitable Trust, visited Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad on 25 August, 2018. Dr. Abhinav Gorukanti, Director at Yashoda Hospitals & Dr. Lingaiah, Medical Director at Yashoda Hospitals, met Mr. Abraham T George and his team and personally handed over the donation cheque.
Dr. Abhinav Gorukanti, expressed his concern over massive devastation and loss of life & property caused by the heavy rains and massive floods across Kerala. He encouraged the hospital staff and the audience to come together and contribute whatever is possible in terms of donations, material support, and volunteering in rescue & relief work.
