Feet First: Understanding Diabetic Foot Management
Diabetic foot is a condition that affects the feet of people suffering from diabetes. It is caused by a combination of factors, including poor blood sugar control, reduced blood circulation, nerve damage (neuropathy), and impaired immune function, which often leads to various complications.
Some of the common symptoms of the diabetic foot include numbness or tingling, foot pain, changes in skin color or temperature, poor wound healing, swelling, and ulcers. If you notice any such symptoms in your legs, especially if you have diabetes, consult your doctor immediately.
