Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is a rare neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the peripheral nerves, leading to muscle weakness and paralysis. The exact cause of GBS is not known, but it is believed to be triggered by an immune response to an infection.
