Urinary Tract Infection(UTI) is an infection that affects any part of the urinary system, including the bladder, urethra, ureters, and kidneys. The most common cause of UTI is bacteria that enter the urinary tract and multiply.
The treatment for UTIs usually involves antibiotics to kill the bacteria causing the infection. Over-the-counter pain relievers can also be used to relieve symptoms such as pain or burning during urination.
Recovery from a UTI can take a few days to a week, but more severe infections may take longer to resolve. It’s important to take the entire course of antibiotics as prescribed, even if you start feeling better before the medication is finished, to ensure the infection is fully treated.
